I am thinking of buying a ticket this year in June when Coombe abbey reopens, Has anyone had any carp from the lake recently and is it worth buying a ticket??

It's a very very hard water . Some good fish in there but if your not prepared to put lots of time and effort in then don't expect many results. A lot of the lake is SSSI as well and the fish stay in there a lot .
It's a lovely water but it's a place that you have to commit blood , sweat and tears to .
Also there were problems with cars being broken in to .
Good luck if your going to join and I hope you get amongst the big old commons
