Looking for a proper waterproof insulated coat for fishing in the depths of winter.

Ive narrowed it down to these two. I'm not the biggest of guys so I do tend to feel the cold.

Question is, is the standard Torrent warm enough while static in the cold winter days or is it worth spending the extra and getting the Extreme ?

I have the torrent. It is warm but it depends how much you feel the cold. I have sat around in 5 degrees and been warm, but under it I had a t shirt, long sleeve t shirt and a fleece, otherwise I was cold.

I have seriously considered getting the extreme as well, if I knew what I new know I would have got the extreme in the first place....but I do wonder if it will be to hot.

Hopefully that helps a bit.....its a nice jacket.

I wear my normal torrent with t-shirt and hoodie and never been cold in it.Im on blood thinners so really feel the cold too,I guess we are all different though

I don't know about that, I was out at the weekend and even at a few degrees I was freezing !

Definitely a bit of a wuss when it comes to being cold

If you move about a bit stick with the normal torrent.

I have the extreme and if im up and about at all, it's too warm

Buy the torrent extreme. If you are hot, just zip it open. Can't do anything with a jacket that is too cold in the first place. I have the extreme and glad I bought it.

Yes your right, I think the extreme is probably the best option for me.
