Has any one taken the ends off the fox QR buzzbars.

Reason I'm asking is I can't use the buzz bars with big pit reels so was wondering how the bits come apart so I could possibly get a length of carbon fibre and remake the buzz bars. Just don't want to break a set of bars o ly to find their press fitted or something

Any idea gents?
