I only have the bigger one (XD) bought last year. No issues at all.

I was out in my X until Thursday evening last week so it was subjected to 60mph plus gusts in an exposed area and it was solid.

I've got the XD and my mate has the X and no issues, great bivvy so far. Check the footprint as there is very little difference between the X and XD, its all about the head room and i imagine the small one will be quite low.

Unless you have got a compact bed I would get the x,the standard frontier is small.There is a video on you tube showing the bed pushing on both sides of the bivvy

I have the XD, all good so far. And passed the poor weather test with storm Eunice
X owner here. Wasn't mad enough to be out last week but no issues with mine when I have used it.

I had put mine side on as expecting it. Had to put banksticks and storm poles in as the ground was sodden and 8" pegs were pulling straight out. The poles flexed but at no point did I ever think it was going to buckle. I did bottle it though and packed up as didn't want to try my luck with 85mph as there was no shelter

Any of you Frontier owners done a comparison to a Tempest EV, is the Fox material thinner?

I've also got a knackered back, my mate uses the X and there isn't much noticeable difference in footprint between that and the XD, the biggest difference is in height/headroom and I've found the extra a godsend.

Apparently there is a X+ due out in the next few months, same size footprint as the X but with a clip in inner like the Xd....

The Frontier X is the most popular version. Very well built and utilises the smallish footprint really well. Very happy with mine. I previously had the Nash Camo Pro Xl and the Fox is far better imo

After going out in the rain yesterday under my Trakker V2 brolly and ended up with neck trying to look out of the door I've seriously been considering going for a Frontier X for the extra head room...
