I've been using CCM products for many years, but I haven't used GLM since I last travelled to La Horre (old Boulancourte) in France, probably 20 years ago.

I don't know why I have never used it since as I did quite well on it over there.

Has anyone used the CCM Green Lipped Mussel liquid and powder extracts and how do you find it?

Seriously thinking about trying this out this year.

Much appreciated.

How much do you need? I can't speak for the ccmoore version but it wont be any better or worse if its a pure product than any other.

Its decent but in my opinion is its a 5% minimum inclusion in base mixes for it to really sing. same if used for other purposes like hook bait coats / ingredients in a bait soak / freebie coating.

Its not that carp don't detect it well, they do, but I've found it struggles to be an impact ingredient at lower levels in a rich bait. But one thing going for it is its not a mix dependant ingredient, whether it be nut, meat, fish or birdfood or milk protein going to that 5% and above level can definitely improve a bait, it works well with other nautral attractants like liver and powdered hydros.

There is two types, full fat, and defatted, there are ardent die hard users of both, I like them both and mix them. the full fat can be substantially more expensive as the oil is another commodity.

I was only thinking of using it to coat some pacific tuna boilies no to make boilies themselves.

I have done quite well coating their baits in liquids and then coating them in additives like krill meal and crayfish meal, so I was thinking about doing the same, with CCM GLM - boilies coated in GLM liquid and then coated in a crusty Green Lipped Mussel extract - not fatted.

I'd ditch the glm liquid, and use a decent hydrolysate, something like bacarel tuna or crab personally.

Glm mixes very well with those other ingredients you mention. As ccmoore is defatted I imagine you'll find it a better price elsewhere for say 100g which would easily do a seasons hookbaits for me, but go with what you have confidence in. I did a load of crusty hookbaits for a Facebook group to use, they loved them and caught well but then set up a bait company so didn't really order anymore lol, I'll send you the recipe for the powder coating when I'm home 👍🏼
