It may be a good way to promote your band by collaborating with other artists, but I think it's not as effective as you think. It's better for you to use services like www.emanate.live, it's an audio exchange platform where you can distribute your music and get paid for every stream. You can also find independent artists there if you're so focused on collaboration in particular.
