I was interested in hearing people thoughts if they have the vapor peak for the fox frontier and if it is worth it. Does it really protect the bivvy similarly but not the same to a winter Wrap. Just recently purchased the standard frontier and used it for the first time. Initial thoughts are I love it with a few small annoyances.
1) No mozzy mesh windows on the standard frontier infil panel but are on the back?
2) The mozzy mesh door doesn't have a method of rolling up and attaching when you want to roll up the door. The other doors you can roll up and secure.
Obviously looking to buy the whole mozzy infil panel now as the standard infil doesn't have mesh windows. Really annoying as these are standard features on much cheaper bivvies and considering only 50 difference between this and the X seems a bit cheap coming from Fox for their premium bivvy.

I've got the X and the vapour peak definitely helps reduce condensation inside the bivvy. It doesn't take any time to fit and apparently you can even fold up the bivvy with it still in place (albeit you need to loosen it off) I know it adds to the cost but I would say it's a must have. The full wrap would probably be even better for condensation control but as per another thread it doesn't have the rear vents etc so I've not bothered
Re the skimping on mozzie mesh on the base model, think this is standard practice across most manufacturers to try and persuade you to spend that bit more on the next model up! I'm looking at new reels and I'm already thinking if I spend another couple of ££ I can get this model etc etc

You're right, there's no mesh panels on the side of the standard model which would be an immediate deal breaker for me since these panels are one the best features on this bivvy.
Are you talking about the front mozzie door panel? When you roll the door up there should be two duffel coat type lugs at the top to secure the rolled up door - there is on mine.
As already said the Vapour Peak is a no brainer for reducing condensation and it is worth it.
I will get the wrap for mine later this year as this bivvy is a keeper for me, plus I always like to throw one of those over if the weather starts to go south because it keeps everything dry underneath and its always nice taking a dry bivvy home.
