Hi guys looking for a new bed/ sleep system.
I have managed to look and tryout a Nash MF 60 ss4 5 season Mik 2 wide boy with the memory foam mattress which I really like but finding it hard to stomach the £549-£599 price tag
My question is how does the Avid benchmark leveltech X sleep system with the memory foam mattress compare. Can't find anywhere with this bed in to try out but £100 cheaper does it compare to the Nash or do you get what you pay for. Anybody buy either of these beds and compared it to the other. I sleep on my side on the bank and this will be the first memory foam bed is this a good choice for sleeping this way?

i have the new leveltech wide from avid - ordered months ago and recieved it couple weeks back - not seen the nash to compare it - coming from a std size bedchair it seems massive to me but sure i will get used to it (i think from the spec the nash wide is even bigger at 980 - the avid measure about 930) - very heavy but will be on barrow so not too much of a problem - very comfy and if sleeping on side will have stacks of room - seems very well made and new leg system seems very sturdy - i picked up my wide for £450

I have had two Avid bedchairs the restbite and Benchmark purchased a solar and it's in a totally different league well worth considering.

Hi mate what makes the solar one far better than the avid. Herd it's a good bedchair but very stiff not sure about sleeping on my side on it? Haven't been able to see one in a shop

I have the Benchmark X, it is absolutely brilliant.
I previously had the Nash, but the Benchmark is much better in my view.

I have the benchmark X. Its a very nice bedchair and way, way better than any of the three Nash beds I have owned before. If I'll ever buy a new one though, it won't be a wide version. No matter what brand or lumbar support system, I feel in the end they all start sagging a lot faster than regular sized beds.

The benchmarks elastic go I've tightening mine up a few times the sides are now bending inward still useable however it's like sleeping on a suspended bed which it is however the Solar bed is so supportive that when I come round I have found myself wondering if I'm at home.
I thought the Benchmark was great when I first had it, sitting on the side of it etc then I started needing to use my pillow as I didn't find it that comfortable to sit on. My back started to hurt when sleeping on it.
A pal purchased the bench mark after trying mine a few years ago, he gave it away purchase another Avid bedchair ditched it after a couple of months and then got the Solar. As soon as I saw and sat on his new bedchair the seed was sawn. Sold my Benchmark to a mate for £100 and purchased the Solar he is happy is and wants a Solar as well.
Another friend had also purchased the Solar having owned the Avid light or whatever it's called.
I sleep on my side my front and back.
I was worried that going back to a three legged bedchair would be a pain but the has the legs spread out and the lower foot section is actually quite short so it's not an issue, granted you can sit on the end of it but when would you.
The Solar is without doubt the best bedchair I've seen or owned. It's quality material decent through out he only thing I can criticise about it is the plastic snap buckle that holds it together.

I went from the Nash indulgence to the avid and found the bag is a lot tighter on the avid, it feels like I'm being pinned down.....
I've met as many Nash Bed owners that are unhappy with them as ones that are so my final words on the matter is try them personally I don't think the Nash are up to much pound for pound I was happy with my Avid bedchairs around the £230 Mark the Solar is another 50% at £350 yes it's worth it all night long will it last well I haven't used it long term I expect it to.
A guy that fishes the same syndicate did say having owned a Nash bedchair that the Solar was the best he had owned so far and the sleep system was superb having removed part of it because I or was tow warm.
