Anyone else had issues with Trakker quality control.
I've ordered 3 trakker items in the past month and out of the 3, 2 have had issues.
Levelite bed
Levelite transformer chair
Bed bag
Firstly, the transformer chair had stickers on the frame which had been power coated over. This meant that the labels were proud of the frame which in effect formed part of the powder coat.
Next, bedchair bag arrives today with a missing buckle so it can't be done up.
Thankfully the bed in fine or atleast I haven't noticed anything yet!
Has anyone else had issues with the labels powder coated over on the chairs? I actually took it back to Angling Direct to swap it and the display model was the same ! However I then went to a different AD store after being wrongly informed by the member of staff at the original store that it was 'how they are supposed to be ' to find that their stock was fine and didn't have the same issue.
One to look out for ! Of course it's not the end of the world but the label being proud would of only took something to nick the corner and it would of pulled a good bit of powder coat off.

That's the issue we don't learn
All the faffing you have to do to return as well because they don't have it in stock in a local store.
Prove the defect, wait in for collection, once it's been confirmed as received then only will we send a new one out. I mean I'm in no rush but if I was I may aswell just give up

Carp anglers can be over anal sometimes over tackle quality when after all it will be abused outdoors getting damp and muddy and thrown in out up and down but yet a small imperfection is the end of the world, just making a observation really and not meant as a dig at the case highlighted.

So you'd be quite happy to accept any product you buy damaged? Me personally if I'm paying good money for something I expect it to the quality it should be, what I do with it after that is then up to me.

Being thrown in put up down in the mud is the reason fishing gear needs to be good quality in the first place. Expensive fishing gear should be durable enough to last the abuse.
Trakker gear is not cheap, and the quality should be MUCH better.

Which is fair enough when your paying for poor quality low cost goods. It kind of comes with the territory sometimes.
However as said Trakker is far from inexpensive and if they are going to charge these considerable RRP's then they should back it up with good quality end products.

Mistakes happen. And if you buy anything made in bulk in the far east, then you have to expect that there could be some kind of issue every now and then. Surely how its dealt with is the important thing. Its not like they hide the fact its made in china is it, so you know what youre buying

They could have their bivvies quality checked in the UK before going on sale.Aqua changed the way they did things with their bivvies after too many faults were cropping up

True, but as much as that would be they way we would all like it done, none of us really expect it do we. And some stuff isnt immediately obvious. We know the industry is about max profit, hence why manufacturings all gone out east. As much as its a pain to have to return stuff, if the issue is dealt with promptly, its not the end of the world really is it.

It's a very good reason to support your local tackle shop rather than
chase the dollar.
Easy to check over in the shop and return if it becomes necessary.
