Would appreciate any feedback on the Prologic Inspire 65"Brolly system and the Avid Dual Layer brolly system which does not give any internal dimensions. Many thanks Gerald

Had the first version of the Avid dual layer brolly system it was tight more like a 50" footprint even tight with my compact bedchair gave it to a mate in the end with the vapour shield the condensation would run down the brolly and soak the sleeping bag at either end/corner nearest the brolly had to have it practically right next the door to avoid this happening.

Cheers mate, room was one of my main concerns, i currently have the wychwood mk1 mhr with overwrap which is a good system and has never let me down but i would like to upgrade to something with better footprint/height and ventilation to counteract excess condensation which is easy to erect. Any suggestions welcome .Thanks

Another thread on here a poster says the avid is a pain to set up. If you want a brolly system look at the tempest , or the cyprinus storm .

the Solar Undercover brolly system is well worth a look quality bit of kit in camo or green versions - 10,000 HH
- Rain gutter on the front to direct rain water off to the sides
- Mozzi-mesh air-vent in the rear

Hi, I have the avid dual layer and also a tempest brolly. The avid is definitely a better bit of kit but does have issues. It is a real pain to set up, unlike most brollies I've used in the past it won't 'free stand' meaning you have to peg it out, fit the storm poles and the front rib support. Plenty of room inside once it's up and due to the material it's dark inside which is great during the summer. The inner vapour shield makes it really warm but the downside is where the condensation forms a I've it on the inside of the brolly skin it runs down the sides and causes puddles at each end of the groundsheet.
The tempest is much lighter but also smaller inside but a lot easier to put up.
