Has anyone done much on the Grand Union Canal around Tring, Marsworth or Cheddington recently?

Not for a few years. The stocks have been absolutely decimated
Used to be my go to, had my first 20 and 25 out of there but despite walking the Aylesbury arm a few times a week with the dog, you rarely see a carp in there now

That was my thinking too ,that's why I put it out there.I used to do a lot at Cheddington.

Fished buckland to marsworth had loads of fish but the have all been eaten now

I fish the canal around there for perch on lures a fair bit. Not seen any sign of carp in @2 yrs now..even the perch are fading. Recently watched a Nick Helleur film on YouTube and he had a look in the area...and gave up . Bearing in mind it used to be a 'go to' area of his,things must be bad....
