I'm looking to spool my reels with suffix 832 braid due to the distance I'll be fishing on my new water. Having not used braid do you need to use a shock leader?

Looks like in comes in Breaking Strains of 13, 18, 20, 26 and 50lb and you don't state which you've bought. If you've using one of the lower 3, I'd recommend it and I use Korda Arma Kord in 50lb. The 26 is debatable but I still probably would but no point if you're on the 50lb.

I've used 50lb powerpro straight through to the lead for nigh on 20 years, no shock leader needed.

Berkley cb2000 35lb straight through with a 3 ft leadless leader. Trued loads of other casting braids and this was the best and it does sink better than others

I use Gardner 40ln 0.36 braid straight through with no shock absorber. Recommend it.
