Just been offered a wasing general syndicate and wonder if anyone on here has any more info as the wasing website only has limited info.
Wanted to get some more info before making a decision as currently on great windsor syndicate but would only have the money and time for one or the other.
Im guessing they have ronnie and reggie in the lakes being close to the kennet??
Any info would be much appreciated

Hi mate,
I've been on Wasing's syndicates for quite a few years now. Moved to the general syndicate after coming to a natural conclusion on the Specimen Syndicate about 5 years ago and now fish Shalford on the general.
Yes, there are crays in Shalford and Bottle but they are "manageable" and I wouldn't say cause too much trouble.
There are three lakes on the general. The two above plus a stunning little pond in Wasing Woods which is a delight to fish when needing a bend in the rod.
Shalford is far and away the hardest of the three lakes. As an example, I'm on my 13th consecutive blank this season, which probably says more about my ability than how hard the lake is! But although it can be a headbanger at times, the qualty of the fish in there makes it worth every penny.
Never fished Bottle, as Shalford is proving enough of a challenge at the moment, but it hold a bigger head of fish than the other two lakes and has produced a low 40 I believe.
Syndicate chaps are pretty good and if you like your fishing in quiet, pretty countryside, then you'd do far worse than the general.
