Navitas all season suit 2.0
Anyone who has it, do you recommend it or am I better looking for something else?
Looking for a winter suit that is comfortable and easy to move in.
Wanted to buy the Prologic high grade first but read that it is not easy to move around with it, tried the Trakker suit but dont like itl

Fortis Snugpak SJ9 and salopettes. If the water is liquid you will be comfortable to minus 10. I'm 6ft and 15 stone XL fits well over thermals, sweater and polar combats and the like. Plenty of easy comfortable movement.

I wear a standard snugpak softie with Prologic
Bib n brace. I can confirm that they are a bit heavy and stiff
Now that didn't bother me as I wanted waterproof and warm
So I didn't have to worry about kneeling in mud etc. And have no intention of walking in them.

I've had my navitas all season suit 2.0 since September 2020 have used them in all weather conditions and I highly recommend them. There warm, comfortable and doesn't feel heavy or restrict movement.

if you want a PROPER winter suit
by that I mean something you wear all day sitting in a chair in the doorway of a bivvy or under an umbrella in PROPER freezing your nuts of below zero temps freezing rain and wind chill
it would mean a suit that would be very waterproof windproof and warm
BUT THEN it will be uncomfortable pushing your barrow to the swim in you cant have both IMO thats why I have a
Svensen PROLOGIC Highgrade Thermo Suit but you have to be careful as there are several versions the one on Amazon is similar to the original as its Fully insulated by 160gsm 100% polyester wadding this is black and green I never been cold or wet in it and trust me I have been in monsoons and minus temps with NE wind chill
there are versions that look and sound the same that are only 120gsm or less
some say its too stiff and heavy but personally I dont think it is but then I dont never pushed my barrow in it and if it was raining I used my poncho to get set up etc

Sometimes I have to walk up to 400 meters with my barrow. I also have a large dog that needs to be walked so must be able to move easily in a suit.
I like that the prologic is fully protected on your back, on the other hand the Navatas is a lot easier to take off especially if you have to pee/poo
I saw that the Prologic Litepro also has 160gsm 100% polyester
Mailed a shop not from from my home if the have all 3 suits in stock, if not i order all 3 suits to try them out.

We are all different. I'm not even that unfit nowadays but if I barrow 400m and setup my rods and bivvy. I will do it in jiggers and a tshirt by the time I'm in that peg.
But over the next hour I gradually layer up. And over the top goes the prologic bib like Gerrys and the Snugpak. Never been cold. Sitting out in January.

That's the way to do it, I wouldn't dream of barrowing about with a thermal suit on. Makes you sweat which in turn makes you cold.

I'm just off in a minute. My Gardner xl barrow bag is full of clobber.
Merino base top and bottom
Bridgewater heavy wool socks
Hi grade bib
Snugpak
Wearing tshirt fleece and joggers.
Even my Brasher boots are in the barrow.

I don't think there is a suit “ suitable “ for carp fishing
I use softies and a base layer top with good wool socks
If it's wet I generally wear the goretex trousers over softie bottoms and bung the jacket on
As and when needed
I keep spare stuff in the van , I think this is important because at some point
I may get wet or muddy
I've tried so many suits over the years and basically they are useless

Do you need to wear anything underneath thermal bib a brace as if get to hot might want to take bib brace off

I think layers are more versatile to adjust around the bonkers weather we have went last Monday 13 degrees was to hot so took off a layer started to feel more comfortable
