Why would you have a rig or lead on the rod before you even arrive at the lake? So you set off with a 3.5 lead attached, only to find that the carp are in the margins and you needed a light lead.. or you've gone out of your way to produce a beautiful steamed curved stiff hinge rig and you turn up and find them in a completely different area of the lake than you expected and it's a clean bottom and you need a wafter.
This is a non product. This has got Ridgemonkey written all over it.

It's very basic could of been took a bit further and added an adjustable tension type of mechanism to keep your rigs straight. Even after using that product you could still end up having to steam your rig straight.

Then you change your rig. But for the people who are turning up in the dark after work, and know with 95% confidence they will be flicking a few stiff hinges out. I think its perfect.
Personally I always pack my rods away with the rigs and leads on ready to go. Of I have to change the lead or rig because of situation then so be It.bit if I'm dropping back in the same swim, its great when your rigs are exactly how you left them on the rod.
Perhaps it just doesn't suit your style of fishing.

Pack down rod with rig I didn't catch anything on -->again<--, rock up the next weekend. Set up rod with old rig on, unclip old rig from quick change swivel, replace with fresh new rig, cast out, sit there all weekend, catch sod all, rinse and repeat.

The product makes no sense, just buy 3 thinking anglers lead bands for £10 and hook your rig to your butt eye. Save yourself £50 and achieve the same result.
