I'm thinking of making my own boilies and with so many things you can add I'm wondering is there diminishing returns?
My plan (not finalised) is to possibly use the following :
AA Baits tiger nut base mix
Mainline cell activator
Mainline multi stim
Mainline metamino
DMPT (for hookbaits) I'll remove this for non hookbaits
Broacel yeast
Brewers yeast
Almond flavour
Coconut flavour
And possibly sluis clo if I need something to help bind
I know simple boilies will catch but I'd pay the extra for a "supercharged" bait

Yes you can overdo it and I think that is overdone. Too much just makes a confused mess and can push fish away not attract them IMHO.
Why the 3 mainline products, will one not work? Personally I would save your money and get Celmanax instead
Why two yeasts, one is enough if you want to add yeast and I would go for Brocacel
Do you need two flavours? What base are the flavours? Are your trying to spread out flavour leakage with different bases?
Not used the basemix but it should bind if supplied as a tried and tested mix, no need for the CLO

Simple answer: yes you can over do.
1) some chemicals have an optimal working area
2) some chemicals are working synergetic others antagostic
Since you don't know what's in all these products it hard to find optimal ratios of them. Also, you don't know if some chemicals will be overdosed due to mixing to 2, 3 or more 'additives'
Trial and error will learn you a lot but the more additives, the harder it is to be conclusive which additives is an added value and which one is just a waste of money.
