So I'm looking into these and I see they are only rated as a 3 season system?.... Has anyone got one or has anyone gone from the Benchmark to the benchmark lite bedchair as I've had a quick look at one in the shop today and they seem very flimsy......

I got the bed on its own and rate it, had it about a year. It's the lightest comfiest bed I've found

Ive got the lite and came from a nash indulgance. Never been cold in it and slept in all sorts of conditions without adding any other covers.
For me its great love it and have the best nights sleep on it every time. Stuggle to get out of it im that comfy and warm

I've just sold my benchmark and replaced it with a Solar Sp C-Tech
I appreciate that some on here deem friends to be a poor source of information which is sad none the less a friend went from the benchmark to the lite then got rid within a week and went for the Solar some months having checked it out and him stating he was impressed and my getting fed up with the avids shortfalls I upgrade to the Solar. Used it last Friday and it's like sleeping on something that has a base and not a suspended saggy bit of material within a frame. I really enjoyed my sleep, it's firm and comfy and lighter than the benchmark, and the 3 leg positions makes it very stable from top to almost bottom which was my only concern.

After years of lugging around a Nash indulgence bed chair and the Nash Frostbite sleeping bag I got fed up with the weight and the space they took up. No problems with the warmth at all but the adjusting wheels used to get in the way when getting in or out. Sold it on eBay and bought the Avid Benchmark Lite system. Takes up less space and is a lot lighter than the indulgence on its own never mind the indulgence and the frostbite. Lays nice and flat and so far it's been nice and warm. I did get the overwrap just in case but hopefully it won't be needed. I'm not the biggest guy in the world so for me it ticks the box

I've got one, had it since they first came out. I find it warm if temps +10degs. If forecast to drop below this i put another slim sleeping bag inside the sleep system. Neater than a cover as everything trapped inside the system.
As for the comfort factor i still have to drag it out indoors for the odd Saturday night on the Mrs request. It's sofa wars in our gaff with the mutts and this provides extra lounging facilities! Anyone that owns a lurcher or a greyhound will tell you, say goodbye to your sofa!

I got the Avid cover as a two fold item. I fish my small syndicate lake using a fox 60” brolly so can't get all the gear inside. The cover is waterproof so if necessary I can use it as a tarp and keep the wet off some of the gear. When I'm in France we always pack up Friday evening to save time in the morning so sleep out by the rods. Cover goes over the bed chair and stops me getting wet with dew or rain. If it rains, at least the 2 man bivvy and all my clobber etc. Is dry in the van!

Yes I did say lighter than the benchmark. Well worth it imo and I wasn't impressed with the lite however two friends purchased the lite and are big chaps and find them good, one pal whom has the lite was impressed with my Solar.
