Hi All,

I have dabbled on and off adding liquids to my boilies as a bait soak. I buy ready made boilies currently from DNA Baits, but my approach is very hap hazard, a bit of this and that and dont really use any specific recipe or anything,

Currently i have fish hydro, minamino, betastim, L030, and a few others.

Generally i put the boilies in a buckets just as they come out the freezer and give a little squirt of each, give the boilies a good mix up so they all coated (genrally the night before i go fishing) and chuck in the lake

This seems to be working as its been one of my best years, buts also been the first time ive give my baits a bit of liquid on every session and also the 1st year ive use Minamino.

My question really is can one liquid counteract another, am i better off only using say 2 liquids rather than say 4 of 5.

Any advice is much appreciated.

Enjoy experimenting mate. You are getting results. All the liquids you mention are great as soaks.

Top tip - buy yourself some small/medium measuring beakers so you can accurately recreate your winning blend, Also write it down as you go, so you don't forget the liquid used & quantities of everything you add by the time you finish filling into a bottle.

Another tip...weigh the liquids. Its a lot easier at home to have consistency from batch to batch when you weigh liquids like this than try and measure out a volume IMHO. You can generally pour straight from the supplied container into your mixing container as long as you have decent scale with a tare function on them

Other than EO I tend to always work my mixes out by weight including eggs and flavours for boilie mixes
Are you sure?

This action cannot be undone.
