It was of a woman who wants to put it out there and for it to be shared. She went onto say that her son has quit his job today where he worked as a chef in a hotel.
The hotel is being used to house Afghans and her son has suffered abuse from them. There was tv's due to be delivered and installed in each of the rooms but they complained that 32” TVs were not big enough and now 42” are to be installed instead in each room.
The Afghans had being in touch with the home office to complain and after them getting in contact with the local council this was when the installation of 42' TVs was granted. The council also demanded that the chef apologise for how he responded to the abuse he received from them, said that he will not be apologising and quit his job.
In the video the lady states that the Afghans are given £1,000 onto some kind of pre paid card which I'd assume is for them to spend, given phone plans and also they have being put onto job seekers allowance too. She also says that the same has happened in another hotel and they have trashed it. Also went onto state that they will not speak to anyone that is black from the council, will not sit with anyone that is black and will not accept that their rooms are cleaned by black people. I just don't know what this country has come to any longer and to hear of so many veterans who are homeless and hungry really does boil the blood.

Given the way topics like this are usually taken on here it's only a matter of time before any discussion goes pear shaped.
£1000 sounds a lot. But weighed up against the loss of everything you own, plus maybe family and friends you might never see again...?
Probably less than a month's wage for a chef with the luxury of deciding for himself to leave his job. (
No excuse for the abuse nor the cultural race issue. ****ty situations bring out the ****tiness in people.
Makes a change for our government to try and make amends for the **** they've been part of causing in other countries even if it is too little too late.
I remember a book - I think it's called 'the boys' - that tells the true story of a load of Jewish kids who were put up in a hotel in the lakes after being rescued from auschwitz. They ran amok at times. Maybe there's something about not knowing how to deal with something good when all you've been used to has been terrible

You're right chaps and hopefully the thread will be locked.
Can't blame them for wanting a big telly. Instead of huddling round a small screen, now they can kick back and relax while watching satellite news reports from back home to see if their extended family are getting murdered in a sports stadium by the Taliban.
