Taking my new Sonik Axs out this weekend for the first time. Just out of interest what order do you put it up in? So you click elbows, pull bar round... then do you peg out? Or put storm poles up next? Does the door go on last? Any tips etc would be much appreciated. Same with taking it down. The YouTube videos I've found haven't been at all helpful.

I've seen that video, that's what I mean it shows the snapping elbow bit and pulling bar round etc and then all of a sudden you see it with the door on. It isn't showing you step by step what order to do stuff in and keeps showing the snapping elbow bit a couple of times

thats because if you use a bivvy with a front and door on YOU START WITH THE DOOR AND FRONT ON !!!!!!!!!
thats why you dont see anyone putting the door on do you !!!!!!!!!!!!! the video is perfectly clear mate ?
why not have a trial run and erect it before your trip
I will explain the video to you Danny
first part of the video is for an open fronted shelter NO FRONT OR DOOR
1 connect the ribs and fan it lock the tension bar
2 then using the 2 velcro straps tension those at the top of the bivvy
connect the tension strap on the bottom of the bivvy
then peg it out
IF ? you think you need the storm poles fit them last
2nd part of the video
Is for when you want to use it with the front and door so as in the beginning connect the ribs
fan it out and tension using the bar then using the 2 velcro straps tension those
connect the tension width strap on the bottom
at this point if you havent already got the front and door on ? NOWS the time zip on the front and MAKE SURE YOU ZIP THE DOOR SHUT (((this is very important !! as if you peg it out too wide you wont be able to do the door up !!!)))
then peg it out
THEN add the storm poles last
to pack up just do everything you did to put it up in reverse IE start by removing the storm poles

I have the shelter version and always remove the front as it lives in a separate bag
I erect mine as you say then zip on the front with the door closed then peg out etc
I think read somewhere that you shouldn't erect it with the front on with the door zipped up as too much tension hence one of the reason I always remove mine
Its easy peasy to be honest as you said trial run the garden first 👍

Haven't got one of these bivvys myself but think the point about not erecting it with the door on \ zipped up is important! Remember seeing a big warning notice to this effect on the demo bivvy in my local tackle shop

Think it was November 2019 when I got mine, when they first came out. Front/Door got fitted from being taken out of the box – and it's never been taken off since, as I only do quick over-nighters, time is valuable so anything to save any time is done.
Setting one up is an utter breeze-
1. Lay the Bivvy on the deck and connect the Poles, both door zips undone.
2. Stand it up Splay the Poles out, fit the middle clip then fit the two tension Poles (Making sure there are no twist in the straps and both face downwards)
3. Tension the straps as you would on a Rucksack
4. Zip the Door up both sides, and then peg it out not over-stressing anything ( 8 Pegs are normally all that's required)
5. Bad weather – fit the Storm Poles, you don't need to put the ends into the ground if you don't want to, I normally fit them just into the Eyelets for them in the corners.
6. Ground sheet – put the Sonic Badge to the middle of the door facing upwards and fold the groundsheet out towards the corners of the Bivvy , clip in and that's it.
I've found it brilliant for doing over-nighters, just so quick and easy to use
~ Almost the same as Gerrys pricise instructions I've just added a couple of things to watch out for.

so erecting a bivvy or brolly with a front on is IMO no problem at all
PROVIDED both zips are undone on the door !............ otherwise yes it can cause a problem
but I have never had a problem and in fact if I unzip a front on a session before I pack up I always zip it back on making sure both door zips are undone of course ready for the next time I use it

if you can leave some feedback on this bivvy mate please, am looking for a quick bivvy to put up and down to do my quick overnighters-24hr-48hr sessions, and use my fox euro domme for longer sessions.
been looking for this Axs,the quest defier MK2 , and typhoon but tbh cant make up my mind because unfortunately i cant see any of this live before purchase
