Are the scope type rod that a bunch of different companies are pumping out there essentially the same blank just with different fittings? Surely this is the case and they're being knocked up in China with different companies logo's, am I right?
If I am right, then unless X China company is adding or taking away wraps of carbon on the layups depending on what client wants, the various actions in the same lb can only be due to ring spacing? Maybe a rod builder can chime in and put things right?
Only reason I'm asking this is these types of rod look interesting to me.

There will only be a few factories churning them out I imagine. Different branding, fittings etc add up unit cost but there's obviously grades of blank from these factories. Hence dwarf/scope, xtractor/insurgent, pace/spectre?.. that's not to say the cheaper blanks are inferior full stop, some cheaper/heavier/slower blanks are going to have a higher resin content with less carbon.. they'll take impacts from leads etc. better and can be less likely to blow up.
Light, fast, thin walled casting rods are great... for casting
If you're boating rigs out and playing fish banging the rods about, a more robust blank which bends deeper without breaking is what you want.
I don't know enough about these blanks to say that is the case here. But they'll ALWAYS put the more desirable aesthetics on the higher priced rod.. so they sell more on looks alone often even if the lower spec was a better performer. especially Nash who only put a full length handle on the scope. But all the others are shorter except Cotswold and chiltern (?)
Again, in a boat, I'd have the short handle.
Shame Nash stopped the 1.75.. even Korum don't go that low

I use a 2lb 6ft scope for my stalking . It's brilliant even been tempted by the 1lb 6ft for chub fishing in waders
