There is so many Bivvy wraps out there that seem to be ridiculously priced for what is basically a sheet that goes over a Bivvy. I recently bought my first Bivvy which I'll be using for the first time next weekend. I don't have a "wrap". Is there a cheaper alternative that will fit any Bivvy that a company is maybe doing? I don't have loads of money and I saved up for my Bivvy which is the sonik axs but I really don't want to be spending £130 for a sonik axs wrap.

You dont need a wrap until the very frosty cold weather comes and I thought you did your first nights fishing using it recently ??

I was suppose to do my first night session a few weeks ago but my mate I was going with had to isolate because he had been around someone with covid. We have rearranged for next Saturday

A wrap is not essential even in the coldest weather, but it will stop condensation. Definitely not essential.

One for your bivvy. They're not all the same size!

I always use a wrap on our slx v3 plus it also protects the bivvy canvas against sunlight,
Also had a very heavy storm with 24 hours of rain this summer and I was glad the wrap was over the bivvy and it only takes 2 min of work to put the wrap over a bivvy.

Yes as others say get the right one for what you have. I have just bought the Frontier XD with vapour peak and mozzie panel and it miffs me (after spending over £700) that it's the best part of another £230 for the wrap BUT it needs to be done, so it will be a Christmas present to myself, no easy way around it.

I use my overwrap every time I go fishing, it protects the bivvy itself, an old Armo Mk1 which I have had since the day they came out which was years ago.
The overwrap, suffers all the punishment thrown at it from the sun bleaching it, its almost white now, glugs, spod mixes, hooks, brambles and thorns puncturing it etc. And even helps stop the light penetrating the bivvy on a night when you get anglers using head torch with the candlepower of a lighthouse shining on your bivvy waking you up. Its also easier to dry off over the washing line than the bivvy itself when you get home.
At the end of the day, its far cheaper to buy a new overwrap than a new bivvy. And, I have never had to reproof my bivvy, only the overwrap.

Agree with the post below use it all the time to prevent damage to the main bivvy. Easier to dry and wipe. Also creates the bit more darkness inside and condensation

Is there a wrap that would fit a fox easy brolly, I don't think Fox make one, cheers.

Did my first night's sesh in the Sonik AXS last night and it was a warm night but I managed to get condensation on the ceiling still.
