Firstly I'm new to this forum so be easy with me please.
I have chosen to go with waverunner after using the angling technics and another boat (can't remember which one)
I would be financing from angling direct so I'm limited on options.
My question is;
I'm tossing up between the Atom and Sport.
I like the look of the atom but the hopper size doesn't appeal hence my reason for looking at the sport. The fact the sport comes with a lithium battery 6hr+ run time seems brilliant, aswell as the 2 kg hopper. Now my concern with the sport is the weight, at only 5kg (give or take) do you think this would hold up in a cross wind? Iv never used a bait before on a campaign so I'm not 100% sure what to expect. What are your thoughts with this?

I have an atom and used it in quite windy conditions up to about 170 yards ish, no problem just seems slow at that distance.
I can't comment on the sport as not tried one, but they are similar sizes and weight so should perform similar although hull shape and bait weight may affect that.
However, nothing stopping you putting a lithium battery into the atom if you chose that one. Currently you could just about get 2 x 7ah lifepo4 batteries for £110 ish (with chargers) which is almost the same price difference between the boats

Now then mate ive got the sport and looking to sell it
The battery is great but I find it awkward to keep straight it definitely requires 2 hands to drive it. I wish I had gone for the ridgemonkey baitboat with a single hand control.

Have you seen all the feedback on the RM boat,the aktor boat gets very good reviews and is one handed control

Loads of people are having trouble with the ridge monkey boat the actor is getting top marks

there is a thread running on Ridge monkey boats and most owners are returning them !!!! hard to steer hoppers not opening so be careful !!! and of course Ridge monkey don't advertise this as being compatible with any echo sounders so probably wont work with a deeper !! PANTS IMHO
If you want to spend £500 on a bait boat you would be far better off looking at the Actor bait boats for a bit more £650 you get a boat with GPS and Colour Sounder inc !!
or if on a budget £350 gets you this LINKY POO

Defo Gerry you are right
ND2 has also been amazing for me in many trips so far so can recommend that too
