Has anyone tried flavoring/adding liquid attractors directly to cork slithers (not dust)?
I know by nature cork doesnt really take on water but I know it can take on smells, such as when you pull a cork out of a bottle of red wine and the smell is retained for quite sometime after.
I would like to be able to mess around with using different flavors added to cork so when I then hollow my pop ups out, I can change the type of additional attractors by just choosing which pot of soaked cork pieces I use on the day. Rather than add something to the original popup.
Is there a certain type of liqud which takes better than others?
I hope what I have explained and what I want to achive makes sense?

Essential oils have a smaller molecular size than flavours so should penetrate better
