As per title, can anyone recommend a spod rod up to £150

Range wise I fish up to 130/140 yards, and use a midi spomb.

Will be paired with a Ultegra Spod reel.

So far been tempted by the Fox LR spomb rod

Definitely.

The 13ft free spirit ctx spomb rod is excellent for the money...well worth a look...had mine a few years now and no issues spombing at range with it...
(Fish a large pit and normally fish between 110 and 130yds...spombing with the larger wolf spider)

Mine is also paired with the ultegra spod reel 👍

I've somehow managed to now send an email regarding getting a full set of the CF-X rods and landing net customised.

Wish I didn't start looking now.

Got a price back, very tempting.

Can anyone provide more feedback on the rods ?

i have both the 13 foot and 10 foot cfx spod rods and can 100% recommend them.

i am planning to get the 12 foot ones soon as the 13 foot is brilliant but a water i fish the swims are tight and its hard to use in tight swims.

i would say the 10 foot is good for 100 yards, the 13 foot with got 150 for me and i am no great caster.

i am sure the 12 foot will hit 140 no problem.

all the cfx rods i have used are really nice rods

i have 13 foot continentials and 4 x 10 foots 2 x 3lb and 2 x 3.25


i also have a 11 foot darenth valley 1.25lb and have landed carp to 42lb on that float fishing. that is an awesome rod for the money

I've only used the 12ft spod I have, but it's a nice rod as far as spod rods go. Not tried it at range but 90 yds is little more than a flick, and it's pretty good at 35-40 yds where most range rods are horrible to use.

If they had a lighter rod in the range or a heavy barbel rod I might be tempted, but none of the current blanks interest me
