I'd like to make an ester dip for my hookbaits.

I 'd like to use citric acid, does anyone know the ratio between Citric Acid and the chosen Alcohol?

I've seen Glycerol used but wondered if you could use Vodka / Whiskey instead?

What's the purpose of combining CA with an alcohol?
Do you want to make an ester of the above mentioned acid and alcohol?
If so, you should go back to chemistry class and ask you teacher how it's done. By just blending an alcohol and an carboxylic acid it doesn't yield in much ester. For a Fischer esterification you require also a catalyst... Some thing like HB, H2SO4, etc

Thanks just found a catalyst which is used in fishing which can be mixed with alcohol to create the ester.
Are you sure?
