Don Llewellyn, well-known Dartford and Sutton-At-Hone carp man from the early 1960s has recently passed away. He caught one of the very early 20s from Brooklands and was mentioned in Jack Hilton's ‘Quest for Carp' and elsewhere. He was 90.

Sad news, an absolute gentleman, always a big smile on his face and such an infectious laugh and giggle. Don and his fishing buddy Phil Ward go down in my book as Brooklands legends. I didn't realise till many years later that he was mentioned in Jack Hiltons book Quest for Carp.
Don was such a nice man, I'm glad our paths crossed a good few times in the early 80's and even more grateful he took the time to share some hints and tips to a young and keen carp angler like myself. Those tips and hints were put to good use in the coming years and set me on my way.
