I have a ticket and its a cracking water, a proper cotswold pit. I took the ticket more as a long term investment as I know the list reached 350+ names before being closed altogether. The lake isnt yet fenced (due to some landowner issues), nor are there many 'proper' swims. I believe a few work parties are in the pipeline. I've only done two overnight trips but already really like the place.
Stock is a little unknown but rumours have it that several stocking have taken place over the years, with a fair number of old match lake fish plus other stocking making their way in. There are certainly a decent number present already and I believe Embryo plan on stocking more in the future. Some crackers in there as shown on the Embryo website

Excellent, enjoy it mate. I'm 330 or something on the list but have 3 other tickets on the park so not too fussed 🙂

I discovered this the other day. I am sitting waiting for something to happen more locally, unfortunately that is taking its time. I am keen to get on a decent syndicate water and thought this could be it, only to see waiting list is closed. I will watch and see if things change. I spoke to Tom at Cotswold rods about this the other day and he seemed to think the turnover had been pretty high, so maybe you won't have to wait ages at #330. He also hinted at there being some good fish in there.

This is the first year of the syndicate so not sure how Tom knows the turnover is high? That said it was a cheap ticket and I think a lot of people snapped it up because of this - its been very quiet on the fishing front when I've been up there

Don't know. - perhaps I misheard him, or perhaps he was summising what he thought would happen. He did say he used to fish it. Regardless, I will be watching to see if the waiting list opens up. The ticket price is low and perhaps that may rise over time...it wouldn't surprise me. Who knows, Embryo might sort out the lake near by.
