Has anyone got a long term review on these rods. I know the xtractor 10fts are very popular. But interested in the insurgent recons (12fts) are as well thought of.

Sure thing my friend, i have them in the 3,5lb version and i think its been 8 months now maybe a bit more.
I will start with the most obvious and best feature, the packdown size without loosing the 12 foot length, i must say it works and its brilliant and i didnt feel any diference from a standard 12ft rod in terms of ability.
They cast really well i was pumping out 120 yards with a 4 oz lead comfortably.
They dont feel too stiff they are decent for playing fish.
I literally use them for all venues because of the packdown size i see them as a jack of all trades. But mostly use them on big pits.
Also the toray carbon they use makes them feel like a high end rod, they feel like a quality rod in hand and after testing multiple sonik rods i think they are doing a brilliant job when it comes to blanks and rods.
And last but not least i love the slim and understated look.
The rod can do everything u need and packs down on your backseat. I cant ask more than that.
