Hi everyone. I wonder if any of you can help at all!
As a teenager in the mid 90's, i used to fish almost every day during my school/university holidays. Mostly at Gloucestershire day ticket Carp waters like Chad Lakes near Stow on the Wold. One day, i was fishing with my mate and he read out a poem that had been sent into one of the fishing papers/magazines. I think it was in Carp Talk, but it could have been in another publication. The bits i remember went something like this...

‘When talking to angler young or old, do not believe all you are told,
Names get changed, places do to,
Some standardisation is long overdue..,
I've heard Redmeer, and even Redmire,
But do you ‘fear' out your baits, i'm sure it's ‘fire'
Then there's ‘Gibson' for dear old Jim' (Jim Gibbinson)...

I'd love to find it again...
If only i knew what paper/magazine it was published in..

It was 1994 - 1996 ish...
I have the first 2 years issues of Carp Talk and am working my way through them, but have had no luck so far...



Can anyone remember this and help me with locating it?
