Just wanted to make people aware of a rubbish experience myself and 4 Anglers had last weekend at pool 2 Emmotland. Considering we travelled 200 miles there and back we expected better.
Owner didn't bother to come round all weekend. There was a dead carp in the margins all weekend. The aerator wasn't working. The Fish looked very lethargic, loads of silt, carp hiding in the pads all day where the oxygen is. Definitely depleted oxygen levels. Maintenance of pegs was poor, branches in the water, overgrown Lillies, overgrown bushes and trees. Fish should be feeding yet from 8 anglers (total) there were 3 runs in good weather conditions over 48 hours. Blue dye in the water which suggests a weed/algae previous problem.
The website mentions a tackle shop, there is no tackle shop. I've mentioned this to the owner and his reply was he'd rather not have anglers like us there. Joke, takes our money and then says this.
Shame really as it's a stunning pool and area. For us the owner just wants your money, otherwise we'd have seen him and we'd have gone back thinking I can't wait to go back there again.
