Hey, I'm thinking about purchasing a new shelter but am a bit unsure on which one to get.

I don't do a lot of winter fishing and ALWAYS fish with my front up which is why I'm thinking a shelter as appose to a bivy.

At the moment I have a trakker armo MK1 1 man in mint condition and a Nash h gun brolly.

I'm after a decent shelter 1 man maybe Trakker?

Any ideas will be grateful,

All depends on budget really.

Highly recommend any of the below..

V2/100 tempest
Jrc Bloxx compact bivvy
Sonik axs bivvy
Hide bivvy

All set up rapidly and have zip on front infills(or option to buy) which would cover you for most situations

checkout the new Wychwood Tactical Bivvy they also do a compact version some youtube videos showing them not silly money either

Good call from Gerry. Wychwood are good for the £££

Got a lot of time for Wychwood products like gardner they produce excellent kit for decent prices and the new tactical bivvies look great pack down well aren't heavy and yet great quality with a 5 year warranty I believe

Get yourself a tempest mate so reliable and really well made, had my two for a while now and look like I've just bought them, depending on your budget or requirements there is plenty of options

Trakker Tempest Brolly was amazing shelter if i'm honest.

I switched to an AQUA Atom Plus with wrap as I like the front down without messing about with infill panels etc... when it rains...

The Aqua Atom Plus is lighter as no sticks involved....

Trakker Brolly was marginally quicker to set up....

Horses for courses.

I fish overnighters pretty much exclusively so never had an issue with room in the Atom Plus.

The problem with not enough room might be solved with an Overwrap ( I have it which is gr8 but likely not to see the light of day for at least the next 2 years )
