Thinking about getting a new shelter - Either the AXS bivvy or the 100T with an insect panel.
The trakker is more expensive, but is it any better in either design or build quality?

Depends how much head room you want the Tempest 100T is taller than the Sonik AXS I've owned both in the past I found the Sonik AXS sloped of to much at the back . Another one to consider is the Quest Defier bivvy which comes as a complete bivvy like the Sonik AXS and has more head room has bit wider and deeper if it was me buying again I would go for the Quest Defier can get that for £340

100T given those 2 choices....goes up in a flash, lightweight and the mozzie panel is great. I tried the Sonik out in a shop and the room inside was small due to the sloped back, so to be comfortable on the bedchair you had to push it right to the front which left little room.

I've found the AXS spot on for my needs, max sessions I do are 12-14 hours over-nighters – its simple, no messing about design fits the bill
Edit: and it's certainly excellent value for money – as it comes with groundsheet, full front panel with built in Mozzy Panels, and Storm Poles as standard, you don't get ripped off with having to buy them as “Add-ons”

I have only had tempests of the 2. I found the 100t too tall for my needs. Something between the 100 and 100t height would be ideal for me. Ive always found the quality of the tempests really good. I had a titan tc before the tempest, and swapped to the tempest as find it a much better system. Weighs less, easier to set up. Just my personal opinion though as other prefer the titans. You wont be disappointed if you go for a tempest

I have a 100t perfect bivvy for me and the height is great for me (I'm 6ft 3) I wouldn't get anything smaller this is perfect for what I need

At 5 10 i didnt really need the height of the 100t but i liked the rear vents so got that one.
As i also find it feels a bit too high. when i pop it up i peg it where it naturally settles without using the tension
Strap. Makes it even quicket to setup and sits a bit lower.

Notice now on my axs that the color is fading now and its turning a nice brown color

I brought the Heffs 100T (thanks mate) and used it for the first time this week, wow super quick and easy to put up and loads of space. First impressions are it is excellent, amd so much better than ducking into a brolly all the time 👌

Lucky When I saw it Gerry, had decided I would have got a new one myself at the end of the month and then saw Heffs for sale.
Even got the tags on it all still, didn't use the infill this time but the head room space and no spokes internally is a real luxury after using a brolly for about 4yes exclusively.
Would definitely recommend this to others, even crossed my mind to buy another to store away for the future 😄
