I'm considering getting some of these rear rests, but... a couple of people have told me they are useless with full duplon handles when they're wet - apparently the handles just slide out of the rest? Please can anyone who uses these rests with full duplon feedback? I really don't want to waste my money if these don't work with full duplon. Thanks

I can't specifically answer the question re full duplon as I use abbreviated. But as a general point on them, if you were able to slide the rod in the rest, my first thought is that they are using an insert that's a bit too big. They are pretty “grippy”.
I'd have thought that the polished blank of an abbreviated handle would be more slippy than even a wet duplon and I've never had this issue.
Each pack of inserts has six different sizes. When you first get them it's really worth spending a bit of time working out which gives you the tension that you prefer. I don't have mine jammed in tight. I've seen some people have them so tight that you need to put your hand on the bar when you lift the rod or you'd pull the stick out of the ground. That's not for me.

I use these with full duplon and haven't had any problems. I use the smaller size with the biggest insert and the set up grips the rod perfectly without ‘biting' so no issues lifting the rods out either.

Nope completely false mate I went the other day with my set of full duplons in the pouring rain didn't move a mm when I got a take

Sounds like user error then. I'll need the large size with full duplon, then use the desired insert dependant on the level of grip. My rods are Freespirit ES and Hi-S ER's, all with full duplon.
Sorry, another question - would they sit flush with Matrix slinky banksticks/bars? Doesn't bother me too much if they wouldn't. But nice and neat if they did

If you mean screw down flush they have an Allen key supplied to tighten down

Before you rush out and buy the large size, get a caliper on the bit of rod that you intend to hold with the rod grip. I don't think there's any overlap with the size range, the small ranges from 10-18.5mm and large from 19-26mm.

No. that's not what I meant - I'm referring to the diameter and if it is going to sit flush with my matrix slinky stainless, that's 18mm on the sticks and bars? Like I said, it is just aesthetics... my Free Spirit full duplon handles are 20mm diameter on both my Hi S and S series rods. The cork handles on my 10ft Hi S are 21mm... hence I'd clearly need the larger size.
Still in two minds with these - I like the look of them, but I quite like a minimalist look to my set-up. I currently use Fox rubber rear rests, which sit very low against the rod and do grip them really well, but over time they do loosen up a bit, for most situations they're decent; I currently use the Nash locking rests for fishing locked up, but if you elevate the rod tips, it is possible for the rod to lever out of the rest, hence looking at these Jag rests.
