I'm after another landing net, I already have a Dymag I would like another but they don't seem to be making them, I'm just wondering if anyone has a Bow lock and are they any good?

The only other net i would own other than a dymag is a chris brown carbon net. Cheaper than a bow loc as well. Everything else plays second fiddle to those two.

I've got the P1 Bow Lock and fail to see how it's better than a net that costs half or a third of the rrp.
The spreader is well made, but you still have to take the pressure off the arms before using the release button, it just adds weight IMO.
I bought mine un-used second hand. Would never pay full price for one.

Any good? Will land a fish exactly the same as any other net, I've had them and the original greys x-flute in the past, but couldn't resist selling at the silly money they go for now. Now use a Harrison Torrix handle (cos it matches the rods) plus random spreader block, net and arms from stuff I had laying around. Haven't not been able to land a fish because of it
Expensive nets are sheer tartism, no real benefit over ones 1/4 of the price. Weight (which is a minimal difference) doesn't really matter in the real world by the time the net and net float are wet.....

a. bothered to reply to my email
and
b. sell replacement arms should I need them.
