Waiting list for the new season is shut now btw. If you are not registered, you looking at June 22 to join at the earliest.

I'm a current member. I believe there were 60 night tickets allocated this year & given the size of the lake you will find it is seldom crowded even on a Bank Holiday weekend.

The club has done a lot of work around the lake recently to open up new swims & generally tidy up some of the more overgrown sections. It has suffered bad algae blooms in previous years, but hoping the early application of the barley straw this year will help to keep this down.

Personally I would just join it.
whilst you have the chance to, and give it a season to find out as much factual information yourself using your eyes and ears whilst walking it as often as possible.
Enjoy the adventure.

Luckily for me it's about a 5 min walk from my house aswell so can get down even if not fishing
