Help,
Has anyone got any idea how long the waiting list is for Kingfisher APS these days, one of my old mates put his name down sometime ago as his son has a ticket and he fancies 'doing a bit' again now he's retired.
He's not too bothered about chasing the monsters, more about being able to get back to angling with his son and on his own now he has a lot more time.
Any help will be gratefully received.

Hi Andy,
I was on the waiting list for four years and finally got my ticket this year.
A far cry from when I originally joined in the early 90's when you could just get a form and join immediately at the local tackle shop.

There's currently about 400 people on the waiting list and the club has an average of 100 members a year that don't renew. So the wait now is roughly 4-5 years
The club are looking to reduce the number of members so wouldn't surprise me it they start only letting 50 new members in each year so the waiting list would more likely be 8-10 years if they start reducing members

That don't sound too good Greg, he might need a mate on the committee to get a leg up the list, he's the same age as me (67) I've known him for over 50 years, let's hope he survives long enough to get a ticket.
