I'm fishing a lake that is dominated by a certain bait. I have made my yearly order of bait that isn't the go to bait on this lake. Is there anyway I can swing the balance in my favour at all?

Yes, ignore the "going bait" rubbish and do your own thing. These "going baits" are simply what most are using and therefore what most fish get caught on.

Do your own thing to an extent. My syndicate the owner rolls his own bait and yes a lot use it but it's quite unbelievable how much it catches. It tried my own thing on 2 rods and his bait on one. The results are quite simply his bait was miles ahead in getting bites. Yes do your own thing but don't ignore a good consistent bait on a water.
Are you sure?
