I know this has been done to death but as the search function isn't working...
Am after a cool box for 48 and 72 hour sessions. Plenty of grub and a few beers.
What do people recommend?

Coleman Extreme will tick all your boxes YES there are better ones but the huge price difference is just not worth it if your only needing it for up to 4 days

Another vote for the Coleman Xtreme. I was looking for 2 boxes, something for up to 3-4 days, and something for a week. I followed Gerry's previous advice on the Coleman Xtreme and managed to find one on the bay new but unused just over £40, cracking bit of kit.

Coleman Xtreme 28QT is the one, they do a Tri-Colour version in brown but good luck finding one in stock

Didn't really rate mine after pitting it against my mates, a few years ago took my mate to France for a weeks fishing in late April so a cool box for the perishables was taken by both of us, daytime temps were reasonable at about 18 to 20 degrees, both were kept in the back of the van in the shade with the tailgate door left open all week, we both had frozen water bottles as ice packs in our cool boxes he still had solid ice after 3 days and slushy ice after 6 days I had slushy ice after 3 days and water after 4 days, they were both kept in the rear of the van out of any direct sunlight along side each other and I would say I opened mine less than he did the difference was his was an Icy-tec

Absolutely, but you get that performance at nearly 3 or 4 times the price of the Coleman which is fine for 3 or 4 days especially in the UK

Depends on what you are willing to spend. Bought a 40l Icey-Tek a couple of years ago for extra capacity at the static. Has kept things frozen for 6 days (max we have used it for to date ). Take it fishing for sessions over 72 hours. Had plenty of use out of it and no signs of wear or drop in performance. Expensive though (think they are something like 160 quid nowadays) but if you get the use out of them they are a decent investment.
