I have been away from fishing for 8 years and returned last year. I am looking at fishing at Hartley Lands specifically Nicks lake on the complex.
Has anyone fished here before that can offer some insight on the venue like what its like. I will be doing at least 36 hours a week as I didn't get in my old club venue. Looking at Nicks as it looks like a good place to get a bend in the rods.
Or has anyone got any recommendations of day tickets that would be good to get a bend in rods. Will be going every week until i get back in my old club or another club next year.

Personally, I think it's a good choice to do a weekly session on. Good head of fish with lots of 20's and a couple of 30's at the right time of the year. It does get busy, like most day ticket waters. IMO they allow too many anglers on there. I was down there last week and they'd put some sort of blue dye in there (not sure if it's affected the fishing)

Thanks mate.... Yeah I'm after a place that had a good chance of a bend in the rod.
Used to fishing day tickets since coming back so business I can deal with I'll have to try and get on the gate 1st.. does it get booked up a long way in advane as I know it's booking only atm.

Your best bet is to go on their FB page to see what's been going on or call the bailiff. Well booked most weekends as all day tickets, weekdays easier. And apparently Live System is a good shout, but don't hold me to it lol

Thanks mate... my trips will be weekdays as I hate going fishing weekends it's too busy for me lol. Hopefully my sticky baits manilla works as well lol

Nicks lake is currently closed. Outbreak of kHv and so far 26 fish dead
