I'm contemplating whether to get a Deeper Chirp. It says you can map swims out as had GPS, does anyone have with and have experience with this? Was wondering if you can map a whole lake over different sessions and piece the readings together ? Not sure if that's possible to do on it or you would just be able to check each swim every time you went?

Yeah it builds the map as you go... great bit of kit

Yeah I've watched quite a few, but couldn't see whether it stores the data so you could eventually map a whole lake.

Yes it does however the well wooded lake I fish in a valley is a nightmare for a decent GPS signal so it sometimes puts it 20-30m out of position which can be behind me!

Yea it does once you have used it you can go onto deeper lake book and it's all stored on there for you

I am getting one on Monday.. I was going to get the brand new version but the only difference seems to battery life and the six hours the old one lasts is easy enough for me, surely you only need to use it for 30 minutes then turn It off?

I've downloaded the app and got a free trail and can see the lake I was looking to map but can only see the depths. Is there a way to see more information on pre mapped lakes on the app? Can't find much online about how to see more like silt or gravel etc like if you were using the chirp ?
