Before I send this off to waverunner I bought a brand new shuttle last December I've only used it 3 times since then because of all the lockdowns and now it won't work, it went out the first time fine yesterday then the second time lost all signal from the handset (I even had to get In the lake to get it out lol) the batteries are all fully charged but the handset is saying the batteries in the handset is completely dead I have tried them in other things and they are saying they are fully charged.

I tried others but still nothing it turns on but automatically says the new ones are almost dead and won't even pick up the boat. Waverunner has said to send it back to total fishing tackle to sort it but just want to see if anyone can help

Have you tried non rechargeable batteries?

The handset may not like them as they are possibly only 1.2v instead of 1.5v for normal AA.

This is presuming that's the ones your handset takes

I haven't actually tried that I will now but they worked fine the last two times I've sued it and also worked the first part of my session, the ones I was using was the ones that came with the boat. I then changed them to some eneloop ones I had in my bag

Quite possibly makes no difference then.

I use rechargeable ones in my atom handset no problem at all...... But in some devices, same as you say almost instant flat battery warnings
