I'm looking for advice on new reels and you guys seem to know what you're talking about!

Bit of context - I'm one year back into carping after a decade away. I used to fish loads when I was younger but lots happened and I packed it in till lockdown last year reignited me. Seems a lot has changed in the last ten years!

I'm currently using my ancient Shimano 10000 xteas and I love them but they're old and starting to creak. Been looking about and the choice is overwhelming! I've only ever used baitrunners so the big pit phenomenon has passed me by.

Currently fishing a small lake with lots of 20s in but would like reels that I could also confidently take on a 20 acre out without interchanging. Had them up to 26lb last year. Using 12ft Daiwa rods and a budget of about £125 per reel. Any advice?

Tbh the reels you have are v sought after, one of the best br shimano ever made imo. I would send to Felindre innovations and get them serviced.
If your set on new reels (baitrunners) then the med br xtb maybe worth a look, bit more money though.

Not a fan of shimano reels but yours are among the best they made , keep them as said and get them serviced.
