I've never used stage stands before but a water I'm fishing now has a lot of wooden platforms so stage stands are the order of the day. I'm not after anything fancy but seen some TMC stainless steel ones on the bay for £13 with two 4 inch inserts/bank sticks. My question for people who use stage stands is what size inserts will I need if I'm using shimano big pits as don't want them resting on the floor. Thanks.

Yes, but used my normal banksticks in them so no inserts

Cheers for the reply mate. How tall are your bank sticks. I thought it might be a bit unstable, my sticks are 12 inch. Cheers.

They were 15 inch. If the stands are screwed down properly and sticks tightened into them they won't be unstable at all

id pay the extra and get some decent ones if you can afford it, I have the jag pro lite stage bites but they will set you back 70 quid a pair. but you get what you pay for and one of the stands is also the screw driver for the spax screws its also supplied with. SUPERB bit of kit. no issues with big pits as they are adjustable.

They sound like they are taller than solars offering, and solars work fine with big pits
