Hi there was just wondering whether any of you guys fish big Sheepwalk at the moment or recently.
Was just wondering hows busy it gets etc.
Don't want to be nosey it's just really close to home and I don't have much time available this year .Got a frimley pit4 ticket but distance might be a problem this year.

Dont think it gets too busy, but I've not been over ther since last summer tbh. Spring can be busier on Ellis, maybe a few more on SW too. I'd swap my ticket for a Pit 4 one if I could..

great water, not sure what it's got in there since Split Tail died... used to have record tench if memory serves me correct.
As stated below, Ellis can get v busy but not sure about SW

I've heard, record Tench was caught in Ellis but the guy never had a ticket to fish it at the time.

I think it was Tetley who had it out of sheepwalk who had the record tench.

Yeah that's the chap , not sure it's right but my brother read about it some where that it was Ellis it came from. 😏

The record tench definitely came out of the Sheepwalk. Not sure if it's still the record now tho?
Think the Ellis is better known for huge bream than tench but I'm no expert on that place.

It did come out of Ellis, the fella never had a civil service ticket so put his gear into the dugout and said it came from there. Claimed from SW but caught in Ellis.

I know the use of boats is allowed on Ellis are bait boats allowed to?

Only in certain swims, if there is a danger of a **** taker fishing beyond marker buoy's etc then there will be a no bait boat sign in the swim.
