Hello gang,
Have searched forum but can't find anything conclusive.
Am looking for info/contact details for woolpack 1, 2, 3 syndicate but the internet is failing me.
Can obviously find plenty for the other side - but details on 1/2/3 seem scarce.
I'm just 15 mins down the road so keen on finding out more.
Any pointers?

Best off getting someone you know that fishes it to recommend you. It's a highly sought after ticket now, he will very rarely take anyone on without some kind of recommendation.

Have a mate who used to fish there a long time back - but not currently. So will scrap that idea for now then

How Is woolpack set up these days? When I had the gold ticket, I got the whole complex for £175 a year. Bought the ticket from Stanjay tackle shop. Lake three was the day ticket. If I can find them I've got some old photos of me as a young man fishing it twenty plus years ago. I will try to post them up so you and all point and laugh at me.

2 syndicates I think, 1 2 3 as one syndicate, and the rest as another.
V little info about 123, which probably means membership is recommendation/who you know.

These two were from lake six in about 2000 I think. I wonder if they are still in there.

I believe lake 6 is now used as a stock pond.

Maybe I've got it wrong then. Memory not what it was. I used to fish what was effectively two lakes joined by a channel at each end I think. I thought we called them the 5&6 or maybe the 6&7??? Who knows.

Lake 4 is a stock pond now, lakes 5/6 joined via channels.

I think he did when we handed wads of cash over for the ticket. He was definitely odd though. We'd fished it for a couple of years. Went to renew our tickets. Took our mate with us to join for the first time and he wouldn't give him a ticket. But renewed ours. Just decided then and there no, even though it was the first time he'd ever set eyes on him.

I fished there back in the early 90's - the lakes 5 and 6 furthest from the car park that were adjoined was where I spent most of my time. Had a lot of very nice commons, mainly upper doubles and the odd low 20. Biggest fish I had was a 28 mirror from that lake and a 29, again a mirror, off the larger lake in front of it - number 3? My memory is kaput too! Was a very quiet venue when I fished there and remember really liking the fishing. Shame about the way syndicates act like a closed shop - only allowing people who are known to them or other members - I fish on my own, so it's always a stumbling block when you get that. My advice, as this works, is to find out who runs the fishing and speak to them directly. Most are open to that approach. It's only fishing, I'm not trying to join MI5!
