About to load up my spare spools with some CF600.
Now, I have never used fluro before, reading it looks like I would load it as I would mono?
Soak overnight and I use the daiwa spool holder for loading line and typically have it coming from the bottom.
Does this sound about right, or any other tips?

Soaking fluorocarbon overnight is pointless as it doesn't take in water like mono...
Personally I only ever load up to 150yards of fluoro over a mono backing saves wasting line you'll never use.
Soak for 30mins in warm water just helps soften it slightly first! I always spool up with the pencil through the spool and straight off the top!
Fluoro also doesn't degrade in UV like mono as much, so can last longer, you can also spool up one year then reverse load onto another spool to use the line that's been underneath.
Take it over the park or on the bank, walk it out tie it to something solid and stretch it out regularly, and keep it clean through a damp cloth.

I load my 5500 spools without backing then when the line needs changing I just reverse the loading on an empty spool , then they're good to go again. Only do this on my smaller water rods as there's not a lot of casting beyond 70 yards.
