Bit of a longshot here, but there is a lake in Doncaster off the A19 near Bentley called Carcroft Pond. I fished this as a kid nearly 20 years ago for Tench and Carp. Just wondering if anyone has any latest info on the place, stock and if it is still fishable. It is only a small farm pond but had some lovely fish in it back in the day. Any info would be appreciated, pm if preferred. Thanks

Do you mean the one directly off the A19 just after the bend on the way to Askern or the really small one on the road from the A19 towards Skellow?

just past Tiltshill lane, go towards the bridge over the railway track and its on the right hand side of the road. Thornhurst Manor is the other side of the railway track

Every now and again see a bivvy on the bank but no idea who runs it or what the stock is in there. Tends to get a bit weedy but always looks ok.
