spooling up with some braided mainline, whats everyones thoughts on leaving a bit more of a lip than you would with mono. is it necessary with braid or just spool up as normal?

I was always led to believe not to spool up to the lip so no, not as per normal.
I only use braid with the spod and marker rods though.

yes slightly under fill braid so it's less likely to get a wind knot,always wet the braid too before casting
