Evening, old age is catching up and I'm looking to comfort rather than mobile angling. I'm desperately struggling with a sciatica and am crippled by low sitting chairs.
What chairs would people recommend that offer good support and a higher seating position?

Yep - I'll second that - have just bought one of those myself and its really comfortable, and pretty light for a reclining chair with arms. The legs adjust quite a bit too. I was tossing up for ages between the non reclining one and the recliner - the non recliner has a slightly longer back, but I went for the recliner in the end, and glad I did. Can see me bashing some serious zzzzZZZZ's in that this summer
Im 6'2 BTW so fairly tall I guess.
Think the old Nash long-legs might be higher still, and from what Ive heard its really comfy, but it weighs quite a bit.

Nash Daddy Long Legs...bought one about 7 years ago after some back problems and its still as comfortable as it was new. As said already theyre heavy and expensive initially but worth it imho.

Another one for the trakker levelite long back recliner, I'm 6ft 3 and it's so comfy had mine since October and love it. Not had a problem with it and it so comfy

I have lower back pain too, I have found that sitting up straight not reclined and having a chair high enough so that your legs are not lazy underneath you helps at lot, better posture, I use a fox chair with arms not sure of the model, just need to extend the legs a bit.

As a fellow bad back sufferer I can vouch for the Nash daddy long legs.
I also have a Nash back cushion that came with it which is certainly a help as well.

Thanks everyone, your input is very much appreciated. I took a trip to Bobco today to have a look but they didn't have any. Definitely going to be ordering the Levelite Recliner.
